Nicole Richie channels her inner Lady Gaga

If you weren't quite sure, this is Nicole Richie, featured on the cover and in the pages of the new Music issue of BlackBook magazine.

Let's see.... bleached blond wig? Bold make-up? Flashy clothes? Chunky jewelry ?? OMG is that you Nicole??

Personally, I think she looks HOT! Many people have criticized these photos because it looks like a Lady Gaga rip-off, but come on guys...WHO CARES? I'm sure she was having fun, the same way kids dress up during Halloween.

THIS is her real style:

I think she looks like a Greek Goddess that came all the way from Mount Olympus.
Don't you love the jewelry she's wearing in her hair?
By the way for those who didn't know, she launched her own affordable jewelry collection called "House of Harlow" ( what she's wearing on the pics).

So, which look suits her best?

Trip to Ypres

Last week I came back from a trip to Ypres, a city heavily bombarded during WWI because it was centre of intense and sustained battles between the German and the Allied forces.

On our first day, we visited Tyne Cot, a beautiful English cemetery. It was so touching and horrible at the same time to see all those white stones that represented one dead soldier. What moved me the most were the engraved words on the stones:

" His life for his country, his soul to God"
Untill the day break and the shadows flee away"
"He saved others, himself he could not save"
"Died for freedom and honor, mourned by wife and child"

* This is my friend that I photographed in front of the trenches

We were stalking these soldiers for the whole day, but they were going so fast that we abandoned all our hopes. Then, later at night, we had to attend the Last Post ceremony, where they commemorate all the dead soldiers during WWI. To our surprise, there were tons and tons of sexy soldiers !!! During the whole ceremony, we were drooling till it finally ended so we ran across the street and asked for a picture.

My friend ( on the pic) got lucky enough.. you see the man next to her?? He's the chief of the soldiers and he gave her his number. God , it's so unfair ! -_-' he was so damn gorgeous and had the sexiest english accent!!!

Fustrated, I went back to my room and made "glue bubbles" the whole night with my other fustrated friends ...

And nowww.... I present you my stylish friends !!!

RIGHT: you can see it better on the picture below, she has a Louis Vuitton scarf, a leather black jacket, and a Pocanhontas bag that I LOVE!

Don't you love this 80's jacket?? I found it in my attic, and since then all my friends want to borrow it from me !

Winter clothing

Wintertime is coming to an end... I can feel it because the temperature keeps rising very slowly and the sun has been peeping out from behind those gloomy gray clouds . I can't wait for the sun to show up for good!!

Honestly, I HATE winter! I hate it when my nose starts dripping and I have to get tissues out every 5 min, when water crawls in my shoes and my toes freeze, when I can't see any birds singing outside, when my face becomes as white as aspirin because it hasn't been exposed to the sun in 5 months... I even hate snow. Well I do like watching it fall when I'm inside the house, where it's nice and warm, but once you get out, snow is so damn annoying!!

To be fair, there's one thing I like about winter. I love the fact that I can wrap myself in layers and layers of clothes :) Shawls, cardigans, jackets, coats, boots, hats, gloves...: with all of these it's so easy to create a fantastic look whereas during the summer, you walk around most of the time half naked ^^
So before winter ends and leaves the way for spring to come, I want to post some winter outfits.

By the way, I just came back from a trip and this whole week-end I'll be working in an exhibition so I might not post my photos before monday!

Ashley Olsen

I was cleaning my room the other day and when I looked at my pile of old magazines, I decided to throw them away after reading them again for one last time.
I was quickly flipping through the pages of Marie Claire 2008, ready to throw it in the bin, when I stumbled on these beautiful photos of Ashley Olsen. Next time I drink a can of soda, I'll try putting it in my hair and hope to look as stylish as Ashley...

(**because I scanned these pictures myself, please don't forget to tell me if you want to use them!)

Happy ( belated) Birthday to me !

I'm so sorry I didn't post anything but I was extremely busy this week! First of all, I had to sing for my school's annual show then I had to attend meetings and finally...

it was my BIRTHDAY ( a week ago) !!!!

This was taken by mum the morning of my birthday, when I was all happy and excited of getting my prezzies!

I got 2 perfumes from my friends:
the Diesel "Fuel for Life" and the DKNY "Be delicious".

...earrings from H&M

A bracelet adorned with a green stone.

Ok for some these shoes are a bit "yesterday" but I wanted them for ages now. You can't imagine my despair when I couldn't find them anymore on the internet, they were sold out everywhere even on stevemadden.com !
My last resort was ebay :) Luckily I found them for only 25€ and they're absolutely gorgeous, I'm so in love with my shoes!

I'm sure you all remember them from the "Sex and the city" movie in which the gorgeous Carrie Bradwshaw wore them several times. Of course the ones she has are Dior and mine are imitations but it doesn't really matter to me :) I still get a lot of compliments from my jealous friends ^^

I also got a the "Urban Decay Book Shadows" palette, also sold out everywhere.

Urban Decay Book of Shadows Palette is the largest, cheapest, most amazing palette Urban Decay has ever offered. It contains a pull-out drawer with 16 eyeshadows, two premium brushes, and a travel-size Eyeshadow Primer Potion. There’s also a large mirrored vanity, framed by unique 3D pop-ups of birds, skulls, and flowers spring forward against a backdrop of flourishes, jewels, and butterflies.

The eyeshadows are so soft, silky and extremely pigmented!!

I think I 'm going to make a new blog about BEAUTY so I'll post later on a review of this palette.

Beatles t-shirts

YAY! Look what the nice postman delivered at my door....

You probably think there's nothing to get excited about because it's just a t-shirt...
Well you probably didn't know that I'm a huge Beatles fan + I have this weird obsession with rainbows since I was 5 so when I discovered this amazing oversized t-shirt on ebay, of course I clicked like a mad woman on the "buy" button! On top of that, I can wear it when I'll have to sing at a Beatles concert in my town.

By the way, on my wall you can see a map of Indonesia and one of Orchard Road in Singapore, my two favorite countries.

t-shirt: ebay
black pants: bought it for 5$ in Indonesia
ankle boots: urban outfitters

Here are some other great Beatles t-shirts I found on ebay... I almost had the impulse of buying them all but after second thought, I realized they're good DIY acid wash and tie dye projects. The image is easy to make with t-shirt transfer paper ( I have a whole stock).

6 things that make me happy

This is me when I was a tiny kid living in Colombia. My dad took this picture and it reminds me of my sweetest and happiest childhood memories.

I got tagged a few days ago by stylish Indy from Fabulosity factor to share Six Things That Make Me Happy!! Honestly, there are many things that make me jump for joy so I'm just going to say the random ones that pop into my head right now...

  • Sounds of an accoustic guitar, because it soothes the soul. Try listening to this or this
  • HARDCORE DODGE BALL mwaha because it releases all my negative energy plus it's a good alternative to anger management ^^
  • Travelling, in South-America but especially in Asia ... after travelling for 3 months in a far far away country and meeting tons of new interesting people, I somewhat feel "enlightened".
  • Riding on my motorbike at full speed in Bali -it feels so exilarating and liberating
  • Singing on stage, in a restaurant, or in a small café because I forget all my problems.
  • Food is my "péché mignon" ... * blushes* indulge me with good food and you shall become my new best friend :)

Ok so I'll be tagging these bloggers because I think they 're interesting and I would like to know more about them!!!

Here are the rules of tag:

1) link back to the person who tagged you.

2) post these rules on your blog.

3) share 6 things that put a smile on your face.

4) pass the tag along to 6 other fabulous blogs.

5) let the tagged people know by leaving a comment on their blogs

By the way, I'm so sorry I'm not updating that much anymore! It's my last week of school before holidays so teachers are drowning me with work at the moment... Most nights I go to bed at 4 in the morning! But this week-end I'll post some new outfits ;)

Olympic Athletes are sexyyy

Nowadays, being an athlete and owning a gold medal can guarantee you the doors to fame and wealth.

May I present you Nastia Liukin for the Max Azria Spring Campaign. She's an Olympic Gymnast with nine World Championships medals. Outside of competitive gymnastics, Liukin has cameo roles the April 2006 Touchstone Pictures film Stick it, and 2008 episode of Gossip Girl.

This is Matthew Mitcham, an olympic swimmer. I say he looks like a grasshoper in these photos. All I know is that he could make a hell of a hot spiderman in the next movie!
*sigh* LOOK at that body omg

How to get rid of tissue residues

I'm sure it happened to many of you... you know.. when you put your clothes in the washing machine but you ( or your cleaning lady) forgot to take out the tissues out of the pockets?

Yeah it's pretty gross, but don't you dare tell me it never happened to you!!

Anyway this is my solution - nothing extraordinary or smart - but it actually took me years to find it:

This is how it looks like when your yucky tissues infested with bacteria stayed in your pockets after being in the washing machine...

Step 1: turn your pockets inside out / step 2: take a fine hair comb

step 3: position your comb slightly parallel to the area you want to brush.

Step 4: after 5 min, voilà ! It's clean again and all the tissue residues are gone in an instant!

* I just felt like being a camwhore and show you ma hoodie and ma bling ^^

Conclusion: Always take tissues out of your jeans pocket before loading them into the washing machine - doesn't do your machine any good to have bits of soggy tissue floating around and the clothes don't tend to look too good either...

OTD

mmm yeah I know what some of you are already thinking...
"Shame on her, she's wearing those Uggs!!"

Well first of all, let me defend myself by saying that I do NOT like the classic Uggs.
But I couldn't resist the temptation of buying these fake knitted Uggs at Claire's ( they were only 15€)

I mean look at them: aren't the little buttons so cute? Plus let me tell you that they are sooo warm and comfy, they feel like walking on cotton candy.

I stole the over sized cardigan from my mum. I tend to wear it on lazy and snowy days, when i feel like crawling back to bed in the morning.

cardigan: My mum's
Scarf: H&M
white mini-skirt: Zara
Tights: New Look
Boots: Claire's

*******************************************************

I want to thank Indy from "Fabulosity Factor" for tagging me! It means a lot to me because this is my first award so thank you my dear ;)

My turn to tag!

I hope you'll enjoy checking out their blog as much as I do! xxx

I Loewe you

I will be soon taking part in a model of the European Parliament in March. It's an annual gathering of chosen students from different European school where we debate about political issues. I was informed today that to get in I have to wear a suit, so I guess it is quite formal.

Oh how I love to show off about this! haha It just pops up in any conversation with friends:

"Oh and did I tell you? I'm going to be a member of the Parliament? "

I like the sound of it... like it's "important" and I like people to believe that I'm very intellectual ^^

Anyway, I'll have to wear a suit and I'm really hesitating between pants or a pencil skirt?? Pants make my legs look longer but I kinda want to be a sexy member of the parliament.

They expect me to dress like if I were "going to a funeral". That's exactly what they said to me, I am not joking, but they can keep dreaming because that is NOT going to happen.
Should I go for a cream coloured suit, or a black one? Any suggestions?

Oh and there will also be an after party so I'll have to choose a dress.

I think I'll inspire myself from Loewe's spring 09 collection. It's very classic, elegant, and sexy at the same time. Here are my favourite pieces:

So what do you think ladies?

DIY - Shirt with holes

I found this shirt on ebay yesterday, but unfortunatly for me it cost like 70 $ which is way over my normal budget.

In a second, I rushed to my closet and I literally turned all my clothes upside down till I found this red tank top. I used it once, as a pajama, so why waste it? Let's make holes in it!!

First step: take chalk and draw parallel lines. They don't have to be perfectly straight but don't make them too close to each other.

Second step: Fold the fabric where the lines are, then take your scissors and cut holes of variable sizes.

I didn't do the back because I was too lazy ^^ but I think it didn't turn out too bad...

OTD

I'm so happy that leopard print is becoming a trend this spring because I always loved it. I think it combines well with so many other things in my wardrobe like my blue cardi for example.
I'm craaving for gorgeous leopard shoes - I hope I'll find those on ebay.

I recently bought these polymer beads on ebay from a Belgian seller, and I just got them today. I think they're so cute! You can buy them here.

I can't wait to start making tons of bracelets, but first I need to order some retro plastic fruit charms and other colourful beads. I'll post the pics once I'm finished.
