Last week I came back from a trip to Ypres, a city heavily bombarded during WWI because it was centre of intense and sustained battles between the German and the Allied forces.
On our first day, we visited Tyne Cot, a beautiful English cemetery. It was so touching and horrible at the same time to see all those white stones that represented one dead soldier. What moved me the most were the engraved words on the stones:
" His life for his country, his soul to God"Untill the day break and the shadows flee away""He saved others, himself he could not save" "Died for freedom and honor, mourned by wife and child"

* This is my friend that I photographed in front of the trenches
We were stalking these soldiers for the whole day, but they were going so fast that we abandoned all our hopes. Then, later at night, we had to attend the Last Post ceremony, where they commemorate all the dead soldiers during WWI. To our surprise, there were tons and tons of sexy soldiers !!! During the whole ceremony, we were drooling till it finally ended so we ran across the street and asked for a picture.
My friend ( on the pic) got lucky enough.. you see the man next to her?? He's the chief of the soldiers and he gave her his number. God , it's so unfair ! -_-' he was so damn gorgeous and had the sexiest english accent!!!
Fustrated, I went back to my room and made "glue bubbles" the whole night with my other fustrated friends ...
